Just three out of 45 people got paid jobs after attending special work skills programmes for disabled people in the last 12 months.
Those attending the programmes run by Coventry City Council included some with learning difficulties and people with other disabilities.
Three landed jobs, one as a cook at the Ramada Hotel and two as seasonal staff at a cafe in the Memorial Park. Another six found work experience placements, two at the Memorial Park and four at the Hagard Youth and Community Centre in Willenhall. Two more dropped out and the rest are working towards qualifications.
The figures appeared in a report for the council’s education and children’s services scrutiny board.
