    I recently switched to Co-Op Energy, one of the major attractions being the lack of fat cat shareholders wanting results. You also get the opportunity to join the Co-Op for a quid and get 1 point for every pound you spend – and even 50 points every time you email them your meter reading. If you have a local Co-Op store, pounds spent there also count, and the dividends can be paid in vouchers, paid against your power bill (my option) or even given to charity.

    Seems like a good viable alternative at the moment. So long as it doesn’t go the same way as the bank…
